“I recently spent a few days with the awesome leadership team of the BCSPCA in Vancouver, BC. I had the honor of presenting on a set of strategies for creating social change (think transformation in society’s norms and behaviors towards animals) through a new approach to great customer service. I love teaching this topic because it challenges animal advocates to think critically about the difference between social good and social change – and why its time for us to become a more effective social movement. Of course, the BCSPCA is an incredible organization run by some of the most professional, brilliant and lovely people I’ve met, so we had a great time as well. Finding others who share Emancipet‘s philosophies is always energizing! Plus, it was my first time in Vancouver and yes, it really is as gorgeous as everyone says it is.” –Amy
