Meet the Maker – a Celebration of the Craft Movement
Tito’s Handmade Vodka is America’s Original Craft Vodka. In 1995, Tito Beveridge (yeah, that’s his real name) had the idea of building his own microdistillery. He built his own pot stills, modeled after the time-honored methods used to craft single malt scotches and fine cognacs. We still make our vodka by hand on the same land down in Austin, Texas, using pot stills and tasting batches to ensure you get only the best.
In 2015, Tito’s Handmade Vodka is celebrating the craft movement by highlighting four extraordinary artisans and their beautiful work with our Meet the Maker program. Each quarter, the custom-branded, limited edition pieces will be available for sale for a limited time on our website, where you can also find information about these talented artisans and their start-up craft companies. We’re helping to spread the word about all the incredible makers out there!
The very first artisan to be profiled is Nicole Patel, the proprietor of and chocolatier for Delysia Chocolatier. Delysia Chocolatier is an award-winning artisan chocolate company based in Austin, Texas. Nicole’s expertise positioned Delysia as one of the Top Ten Chocolatiers in the United States within just five years! They use only fine quality chocolate from sustainable sources to create something distinctly unique. Their creations are handcrafted to savor in every flavorful bite.
For our Meet the Maker program, Nicole has created three Tito’s Handmade Vodka cocktail-inspired truffles, each infused with our vodka!
- Texas Sipper: Sweet. Tart. Texan. Dark chocolate infused with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, elderflower liqueur, and a twist of grapefruit.
- Red Punch: Forget the punch bowl. Flavors of pomegranate, orange zest, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, a hint of cinnamon spice and studded with dried strawberries in 64% dark chocolate.
- Bloody Mary: Morning-after cocktail, perfected. With 71% bittersweet chocolate, tomatoes, jalapeños, a pinch of celery salt, and a splash of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, you won’t even miss the glass.
