Last night in Austin, Texas, we celebrated Tito’s 15th year making Tito’s Handmade Vodka at Tito’s Hometown Shindig which took place at ACL Live with music by T Bird and the Breaks and DJ Mel. Before the party got started, a proclamation from the mayor of Austin was presented so eloquently from Councilwoman Kathie Tovo to our own Tito Beveridge and it read like this…

“Be it known that
Whereas,
Austin is proud to be home to Tito’s Handmade Vodka, founded by master distiller Tito Beveridge, who still personally distills and tastes every batch to be sure it is up to his standards; and,
Whereas,
On its 15th Anniversary, Tito’s can celebrate being an award-winning brand, sold in all 50 states, one of the fastest-growing spirit brands in the country, and having an army of loyal followers; and,
Whereas,
Tito is a music aficionado – listening to, writing and playing music himself – but he is also known locally for his support of music events and festivals in the Live Music Capital of the World; and,
Whereas,
We’re pleased to be part of Tito’s Hometown Shindig and to recognize Tito Beveridge for his business success and for bringing honor to the City of Austin;
Now, Therefore,I, Lee Leffingwell, Mayor of the City of Austin, Texas, do hereby proclaim November 12, 2012 as
Tito Beveridge Day
