Infuse your Long Weekend with Flavor!
This weekend is extra special because it the marks the official kickoff of summer, and a time to reflect with our families and celebrate those who have served, who we love, and may have lost. Should you find yourself in the kitchen wondering what to make this long weekend, gather your family and friends around to experiment with some DIY Tito’s Handmade Vodka infusions! They are fun to make, easier to master than you might think, and yield some impressive results.
We here at Team Tito’s like to make them directly in the bottle, and have found that after about 18 hours the flavors start to make a big impact! Using frozen berries results in a stronger infusion than fresh ones. The ice crystals permeate the skin of the fruit allowing the vodka to really draw out the flavor. If you’re infusing directly in the bottle, pour some vodka into another container (or take a couple sips) in order to make room for the ingredients. Our infusion jar or any non-reactive vessel works, too.
Berry Infusion
- 1 liter of Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- 1 cup frozen blueberries or raspberries
Put berries directly into your bottle of Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Seal and sit out of direct sunlight. Shake or stir every so often, and test after about 15-24 hours for desired flavor. When the flavor is strong enough, strain and discard the fruit.
Strawberry Rhubarb Infusion
- 1 liter of Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- ½ cup frozen strawberries
- ½ cup frozen rhubarb
Chop the berries and ‘barb into chunks small enough to fit into the bottle, and add them directly to your Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Seal and sit out of direct sunlight. Shake or stir occasionally, and test after about 15-24 hours for desired flavor. When the flavor is strong enough, strain and discard the fruit.
Your all natural Tito’s Handmade Vodka summer infusions taste delicious as a sipper over a few rocks, or mix with lemonade, iced tea, or sparkling mineral water!
