Austin, it’s that time again! Pet lovers and foodies support Emancipet by staying home and enjoying local treats!

Emancipet’s sixth annual Sit Stay Day, a unique fundraiser that lets pets and their humans stay in and enjoy homegrown Austin treats while raising money for pets in need, returns for 2016 this Friday, February 12th.

Dozens of local businesses donate gourmet food and drink items, gift cards, and other goodies that are assembled into 250 kits and delivered to homes and offices before Valentine’s Day. The Sit Stay Day kits contain the makings of an evening for two plus pets on Valentine’s Day. This year’s kits include yours truly, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, baked goods including sugar cookies from Cowgirl Treatery and treats from LovePuppies Brownies, bags of popcorn from Cornucopia, healthy snacks from KIND Healthy Snacks and Rhythm Superfoods, local beers and wines, gift cards to local hot spots, assorted pet treats and toys, and much more.

Each kit costs $175 and includes delivery in the Austin area on Friday, February 12th. Kits can be ordered online until 5pm this Wednesday, February 10th (unless they sell out) at emancipet.org/events/sit-stay-day.

The money raised helps Emancipet provide affordable, accessible spay/neuter and veterinary care to pets in need. Emancipet has spayed and neutered nearly 250,000 dogs and cats since it was founded in 1999.
